Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dishvera (“Dishvera”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operated from Belgium, handles personal data when you visit dishvera.com, contact us, or use features on the website.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Dishvera is the controller for personal data processed through this website. Privacy enquiries can be sent to contact@dishvera.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

2. Data we may collect

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, referring pages, and security or server logs.
  • Contact data: your name, email address, message, and any information you choose to provide when contacting us.
  • Preference data: cookie choices and settings where a consent tool is used.
  • Interaction data: information about how visitors use the site if privacy-compliant analytics are enabled.
  • Comment data: information submitted with a comment if commenting is enabled on any page.

Newsletter

If you subscribe with your consent, we process your email address, optional first name, daily or weekly preference, signup page and resulting language preference, consent wording and version, timestamps, subscription status, a salted hash of your IP address for abuse prevention, and records of recipes sent to you. These data are stored in our WordPress database. Newsletter emails are sent through the configured Hostinger SMTP service. You can withdraw consent through an unsubscribe link where provided, or email contact@dishvera.com with the subject UNSUBSCRIBE. Unsubscribing stops newsletters; it does not automatically delete the stored subscription and consent record. You can request access, correction or deletion at the same contact address.

3. Why we process personal data

  • To operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
  • To respond to messages, questions, corrections, and privacy requests.
  • To remember privacy or cookie choices.
  • To understand site performance and improve content, where analytics are lawfully enabled.
  • To prevent spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more legal bases under applicable data-protection law: your consent; our legitimate interests in running and protecting the website; steps taken at your request before entering an agreement; performance of an agreement; or compliance with a legal obligation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Dishvera may use strictly necessary cookies for security, essential functionality, and saved preferences. Analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies should only be activated where permitted and, when required, after you have made a choice through the cookie banner. You can change your browser settings or revisit available consent settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functions.

Advertising, Google AdSense and privacy choices

Dishvera may use Google AdSense to show advertisements. If advertisements are displayed, Google and other advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or device identifiers. They may collect, share and use information to deliver and measure advertisements and, where applicable, personalize them. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, consent is required for ad personalization, and for cookies or other local storage where legally required. Advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to choose ads using your earlier visits to Dishvera or other websites.

Read more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.

You can manage Google ad preferences in My Ad Center. These preferences do not replace consent choices on Dishvera. Where provided on this site, use the privacy choices or consent withdrawal link in an advertising consent message to change your choices or withdraw consent.

6. Service providers and other recipients

We may use trusted providers for website hosting, caching, security, email, spam prevention, analytics, and advertising. They may process limited personal data only as needed to provide their services or meet legal obligations. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate transfer of the website or its assets.

7. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Belgium or the European Economic Area. Where required, we use an appropriate legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

8. How long we keep data

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, accounting, dispute, and legal requirements. Server and security logs are generally kept for a limited period unless an incident requires longer retention. Contact messages are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority. We may need to verify your request while asking only for information reasonably necessary to do so.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Children

Dishvera is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children for the purpose of collecting personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, please contact us.

12. External links

Our pages may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Dishvera is not responsible for those practices.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be highlighted on the website where appropriate.
